Darkvision
A monster with darkvision can see perfectly well in areas of darkness and dim light, though such vision is in black and white only. Some forms of magical darkness, such as a 4th-level Darkness spell, block normal darkvision. A monster with Greater Darkvision, however, can see through even these forms of magical darkness.
StenchA creature that comes within 30-foot emanation of the xulgath and can smell the xulgath must attempt a DC 19 fortitude save. On a failure, the creature takes a -1 status penalty to all checks and DCs until it uses an action to retch. A creature that succeeds at its save isn't affected by any xulgaths' stenches for 1 minute.
SwipeThe xulgath boss makes two Strikes with their greataxe against two adjacent foes, both of whom are within their reach, with a +1 circumstance bonus. The second attack uses the same multiple attack penalty as the first, but attacks the xulgath boss makes after this take a -10 multiple attack penalty (or a -8 multiple attack penalty for its claw).
Xulgath bosses exhibit greater strength and more affinity for violence than other members of a xulgath community.
Traits
Anything that doesn't list another rarity trait (uncommon, rare, or unique) automatically has the common trait. This rarity indicates that an ability, item, or spell is available to all players who meet the prerequisites for it. A creature of this rarity is generally known and can be summoned with the appropriate summon spell.
HumanoidHumanoid creatures reason and act much like humans. They typically stand upright and have two arms and two legs.
